Cartoon of Bob – drawn by an unkown umpiring colleague |
This cartoon was drawn by another umpire Bob knew after a story of Bob's had amused him. The story was of a previous match in which Bob had been umpiring with a very new and eager young umpire who had insisted on coming to talk to Bob between every over. "It's an umpires duty to regularly consult with his colleague during the game" he told Bob. When the next over had finished he again came over and asked Bob what they should talk about, Bob replied "read any good books lately?" Bob absolutely loved this cartoon and had it framed on his wall, unfortunately none of the family know who the artistic umpire was! If it's you, please let us know and we'll ad a proper credit. |

| This recording was taken by the Reverend Joachim Kreusel, minister at the Moravian Church in Hornsey, not long before Bob died. It's only a short recording, but it's very interesting and is a story he hadn't shared with many of us.

Bob's Certificate of Ordination (1947) |
| Bob was dedicated to the Moravian Church for almost his whole life and did many wonderful things as a minister. This is the certificate he received when he was made a Deacon in 1947. It's perfect condition is a testament to his love for the church. | |

Bob's time as a minister in Carmel Jamaica was cut short and after just two years the young family were forced to return to England, Bob having contracted a life threatening bought of Malaria. The congregation of the Carmel Moravian Church wrote this long and touching farewell which Bob had kept in perfect condition for the rest of his life. |
